CHANGES

Someone has said as we age we are less likely to enjoy the changes in our lives. We know 'Change is Inevitable'. Everything seems to be changing, our world is changing. There are changes in our relationships, changes in our health, changes in technology. Things Change! The real key is trying to deal with the changes that we didn't anticipate or expect. Some things change and we help initiate it, at other times we had no "Say So" in it at all. It's been said there are really three sources of change. First, our own CHOICES. Sometimes change is a result of our own decisions. Our lives, at least in part, are a sum total of our decisions. However, we could also say that there are changes that are based on other peoples 'Choices' or 'Decisions' that affected us that we didn't really have any involvement in. Secondly, simply life's CIRCUMSTANCES affect change. Sometimes, somethings just happen. Out of the blue and unexpected. It's simply a part of life and we didn't do anything to cause it, nor do we feel we deserved it. It just happened. Then, of course, there are CONSEQUENCES to the two aforementioned sources of change. There are always consequences to change. Yet, the Bible says in Romans 8:28, 'All things work together for the good to those who love God and are the called according to His purpose'. It's difficult to comprehend the WHY'S when sudden, unexpected, life altering changes happen. But we can still look to the WHO..the Who I'm referring to is the one who can allow Good to come out of the mixture of it all. Like the Chemist who mixes the various chemicals together, and when they are complete a medicine is produced for our help, health and healing.
