One of the most important areas of living life is how we learn to interact with other people. From a very young age we must learn to deal with relationships, that is with people. As our students are going to school and of course, meeting new people, they will learn to deal with these individuals in the various aspects in these relationships. We also continue to learn the importance of relationships throughout our life. Relationships in our marriages, with our children, with co-workers and the list goes on. One of the keys to enhancing our relationships is conditioning ourselves to be 'Listeners'. James wrote, 'Be quick to Listen'. Someone said, there is a reason why God gave us two ears and only one mouth'. Listening , isn't always easy and certainly listening is much different than hearing. Many people hear well but they really may not be listening to us. It's often easy to tell if someone is listening by watching their body language. Eye contact and body mannerisms all are keys to seeing if someone is a 'Good Listener' or not. May God help each of us in our relationships in life and may He grant us the ability to LISTEN!
